TrailBlazer Series
MAPPING YOUR PATH TO PRIVATE PRACTICE
FOR SE STUDENTS AND PRACTITIONERS
FOR SE STUDENTS AND PRACTITIONERS
Thinking about starting a private practice can be scary and overwhelming. It can bring up tremendous doubt and uncertainty. There is no need to blaze that trail alone…and no need to reinvent the wheel. Regardless of prior paths/experience that brought you to SE, this series is designed to support you in navigating new terrain and understanding the steps involved in getting started.
Topics to be covered include:
From Barbara Collier: Personally, I am ever emerging and evolving in honor of my continued integration from the adverse experiences in my life. For many reasons, I have learned to be a loner, to do things myself and hopefully eventually find my way. I really can’t count how many proverbial wheels I have re-invented so to speak. I am super clear that we don’t have to do it alone, and for this type of journey and process, ought not to do it alone.
I know first hand how scary it can be to risk the shame and doubt of not knowing. Oh, the stories I could tell about being publicly outed in classrooms for low test scores, or mocked by teachers for asking questions…
My hope is to offer a safe place where people can risk asking questions about the how-to and look inside at their gifts and talents and hearts’ desire for change on the planet or whatever brings a person to this work and then to want to share this work. I love that. It’s huge and really important. And I want to support people in their growth process of living in their truth. I think it’s a sacred journey and of primary importance - especially now with where things are in the state of the world. I am excited and honored to be on this journey with two wonderful people; Heidi Landon and Kathy Sawyer and to share them with you.
Heidi Landon who is also in the process of curating changes in her private practice, is an amazingly friendly and knowledgeable bookkeeper who is also emerging into her own private practice Yay!! I have felt safe asking questions about what in my mind are “simple and basic” questions. She has always met me and those questions with kindness and compassion. I am eager to share this experience with you all and offer her services and kindness to each of you to ask questions of.
Kathy Sawyer, is equally amazingly warm and friendly and easy to ask questions of. Her experience in the corporate world as well as nonprofits and start-ups is vast. Her heart is clearly in this as she lights up with seeing people grow.
