Equinimity is based on the idea that when we can connect to the inherent interconnectedness of all life, and when we acknowledge our Creative Self,
we feel more whole.
We support people in finding their way back home to themselves, through nature, somatic practices of trauma healing, creative expression and experientials. We believe we are more than the sum of our parts; that we are mind, heart, spirit, soul.
We believe that self-care means attending to, acknowledging, honoring and knowing each of these aspects.
We trust that we all grow together in safe spaces and supportive environments.
We believe that Equinimity can be a place where people find belonging and re-connect to the worth and truth of themselves through healthy secure-base attachments with people, nature, art and rhythm.

TRAUMA & THE NERVOUS SYSTEMS: A POLYVAGAL pERSPECTIVEThis video by the Trauma Institute provides an introduction and basic overview of how trauma and chronic stress affect our nervous system and how those effects impact our health and well-being. Much of the content is based on the groundbreaking work of Stephen Porges and his Polyvagal Theory and inspired and informed by the work of thought leaders Deb Dana, Vincent Felitti, Robert Anda, Gabor Mate, Dan Siegel and Peter Levine, who pioneered Somatic Experiencing.
