Healing with horses
For humans who might be stressed or anxious, horses can offer a calming presence. Our systems can reflexively mirror this ease. Healing with Horses is an offering that is nondescript. I say this because it can take shape in so many ways. Regardless of what intention the humans bring into the space, the horses always know what is the most necessary for the good of all concerned. There are exercises that are touched on during the EASE modules, that can be elaborated on, or examined more deeply. There is a wealth of information regarding each horses' stories, the humans' stories, and most importantly, the experience of the moment. Every one of these things can give the team an opportunity for healing moments. Sometimes the act of grooming can bring such easefulness, our bodies (horse and human) crave more. Sometimes observing the way horses communicate non-verbally teaches humans how to understand human body language more. That can lead to better communication skills in our families, friends, and work or school environment. Learning how to communicate nonverbally has a great deal of value, in my opinion. This program is extremely flexible, and there are 6 different horsenalities to offer their service!

Horses are relationship-oriented herd animals. They—and we—are innately social creatures. As two-leggeds, though, we can forget how to live as a community. In striving for independence, it's easy to overlook that we actually need an 'other' to help us truly know ourselves and to be fully at home in the world.

Horses are powerful partners in healing trauma, leading to Experiential insights that can ALLOW us to embody more satisfying ways of interacting with the world.
Horses live as members of herds, small or large. It is this innate collaborative social structure and exquisite sensitivity to subtle changes in their environment that allows them to be perfect partners for learning a wide range of life, relational, and healing capacities.
Research shows that being around horses can be calming to our nervous systems, helping to decrease the symptoms of stress in our bodies, while contributing to a greater sense of overall well-being. The loop of awareness between horse and client provides a rich field of helpful information—leading to interpersonal and intra-personal skill-building opportunities.
