Pronouns: They/Them
I believe we have everything we need to heal and that healing must happen on our own terms, in collaboration with our own wisdom.
I believe we need and deserve a world in which every human being feels safe and at home in their bodies, connected to their place and their communities, and is able to live life in alignment with their passions, boundaries, and values.
I am a somatic and therapeutic touch practitioner with a career background in education and youth violence prevention. In my practice, I support clients in accessing and integrating sustainable well-being through nervous system regulation and trauma integration.
In addition to my somatic practice, I am a life-long student of social justice. Systems of oppression (trauma) express through, and take tolls on our bodies. In my practice I seek to align with a liberated human spirit in service of a world in which we can thrive, have healthy connections, and dream big. I practice from an intersectional feminist and anti-oppression framework. I believe healing on an individual level requires awareness, integration, and right relationship to the larger social and ecological systems in which we live. I believe healing is political.
My practice is collaborative. I collaborate with you, with our shared environment, with our respective intuitions, intelligences, and lineages. I collaborate with your existing wisdom and resources that have enabled you to survive and thrive up to this moment. You are not broken. You have everything you need to heal. And I know you have already been doing so many things to care for your life.
The work I do includes conversational, imaginal, and touch-based nervous system regulation support. I work relationally, knowing that we heal in relationship. I am committed to working with you to find the right container, rhythm, and pacing that will support your body in accessing its own wisdom, restoration, and life force.
I have trained in Somatic Experiencing , Cultural Somatics, and Somatic Touch. I integrate therapeutic touch, mindfulness and expressive arts into my practice when appropriate, and enjoy working with young people and adults. LGBTQAI community welcome.
