EASE for Neurodivergent and Sensitive Youth
Equinimity, in partnership with Rebel Shift Childhood’s Emily McCrea, present EASE for Neurodivergent and Sensitive Youth. In this program, we will support young people ages 10 to 16 in harnessing their intrinsic motivation, empower them to find their unique voice, develop compassionate communication skills, and gain the confidence to take developmentally appropriate risks in a safe and secure environment.
Equine Assisted Somatic Experientials™ (or EASE for short) is a 7-module transformative course and experiential form of personal growth and development that works with the heart-centered presence of the horse to facilitate deep healing.

More about EASE for Neurodivergent & Sensitive Youth:
This program combines our knowledge, experience and practice to create a therapeutic program for neurodivergent youth. Emotional intelligence, self-expression, felt safety and real engagement are essential for meaningful and relevant learning, yet they are often missing in the education of young people. We will support youth to harness their intrinsic motivation, empower them to find their unique voice, develop compassionate communication skills, and gain the confidence to take developmentally appropriate risks in a safe and secure environment.
Equine Assisted Somatic Experientials™ (or EASE for short) is an experiential form of personal growth and development that works with the heart-centered presence of the horse to facilitate deep healing. Sustainable, supportive, secure somatic therapy.
For humans who might be stressed or anxious, horses can offer a calming presence. Our systems can reflexively mirror this ease.
“Horses are relationship-oriented herd animals. They—and we—are innately social creatures. As two-leggeds, though, we can forget how to live as a community. In striving for independence, it's easy to overlook that we actually need an 'other' to help us truly know ourselves and to be fully at home in the world.”

HORSES ARE POWERFUL PARTNERS IN HEALING TRAUMA, LEADING TO EXPERIENTIAL INSIGHTS THAT CAN ALLOW US TO EMBODY MORE SATISFYING WAYS OF INTERACTING WITH THE WORLD.
Working gently and at the “right pace” is the most efficient way to sustainably reintegrate survival energy into the body, and thus we do not seek out big cathartic experiences in sessions. Under these conditions, clients capacity for regulation, the ability to return to physiological and psychological equilibrium and flexibility after stress, is restored and stabilized.
EASE outcomes:
We believe we are more than the sum of our parts; that we are body, mind, heart, spirit, soul. We all grow together in safe spaces and supportive environments. Join us.
Equanimity is a place where we find belonging and reconnection to the worth and truth of ourselves through healthy, secure-base attachments with people, nature, art and rhythm. We are dedicated to supporting growth and healing in a compassionate, safe, inclusive, trauma-sensitive cooperative environment- Join us!
